One is Fun!

Yesterday, Maggie turned ONE!

Here is the birthday girl being silly.

We had a small party with Grandma & Grandpa Jacobs and just us at my inlaws house. It was simple. Pizza. Cake. Baths. Home. Here are the cakes I made. (I'm so thankful to have an amazingly talented cake maker for a friend, that's making the cakes for their birthday party!)

Maggie was a little unsure about what to do with the cake. Samantha kept heading over to Maggie's cake to steal bits and pieces of it, and then running away to eat the frosting.

Finally, Brandon decided that Maggie really needed to enjoy the cake all over her... so he helped her get messy! She was stunned!

But started loving playing with the frosting and covering herself!

Since Maggie's cake was now trashed, Samantha headed back over to the other cake and kept sneaking bites and licks of the frosting!

Then it was time for some photo-ops with our newest one year old!
(I prefer to be in B&W... the steroids I'm on are doing a number on my body!)

This is our new tradition... we have the same picture with Samantha on her 1st birthday... kisses for our birthday child! Maggie loved every last kiss!

She was gooing and gaaing and saying Mama to me... and sharing the frosting with my face!
(Notice my cheek!) I love this picture... because it shows, that even though I'm sick a lot, she still knows I'm Mommy and still knows that I love her no matter what.

The end result! It was straight to a bath after this!

We now have two one year olds for the next 24 days...
