Anyone that meets me, somehow quickly finds out that I have an overly strange obsession with The Wizard of Oz. Let's just say, my dog is named Elphie after the Wicked Witch from WICKED, and I have a growing collection of collectibles... and I may be just a tiny bit excited that Samantha asks to ask "Dorfy" and "Scarecrow" often!
After World Finals, my parents and I headed into Washington DC before my flight later that night.
Washington... beautiful, so much history... just a great place to see.
We didn't tour any of the major monuments... but did go to two places... The Holocaust Museum. Which I think everyone should see, but bring your tissues and time.
And....

Yes, folks... those are the original (1 of only 4 pair ever!) Ruby Slippers... Judy Garland herself wore these, skipped down the yellow brick road, and reiterated that "there's no place like home."
I was a little excited, to say the LEAST!
