Catch Up.

So here I am, a mother of three... for the past 3 weeks! *Whew* I'm exhausted... for the next 18 years, I've been told!

Today is my first day, all by myself with all three kids. I'm a little on edge, hoping that it goes smoothly- no major meltdowns, no major spills, just happiness all around. So far, so good. But it's not even lunch time yet.

My parents left on Friday to head back to Georgia, after a very long visit. I am so thankful that they were here as long as they were... through the waiting period on when Gavin would arrive, finally his arrival, and the first 3 weeks of his life! Samantha is already saying she misses them, and wanting to go to Georgia.

The girls are adjusting well to their baby brother. Maggie doesn't like him to cry, and Samantha wants him to be all hers. It's amazing to have a 3 week old, a 16 month old, and a 28 month old!

Maggie is starting to try to talk more... she's always just let her sister answer, but she's definitely getting her own voice lately. She's pretty sneaky, and always testing us to see what she can get away with. However, her big sister makes sure that all naughty things are immediately told to us!

Samantha is still talking up a storm, and learning amazing new things everyday. She can count to 20... and is hilarious when she tries saying anything with the letter "f" or the sound of "f" in it. For instance- the other day- "Mommy, I got a dork! A dork!" We were eating ice cream and apple pie, and she went and got a fork... it caught us all of guard, but hilarious none-the-less. She also wears "dip dops", likes to make the sound of an "eledant" and use her "dhone."
Gavin is growing by the day- and outgrowing all the newborn sizes! He loves tummy time, and I think would prefer it all the time. He eats a ton- more than I can imagine a 3 week old baby eating- sleeps pretty well at night- and is pretty content most of the time.

Here are a few pictures we managed to take last week on a really rather warm day here in South Dakota in the neverending falling leaves:
