Taking the Good with the Bad.

Sunday night, I wasn't feeling right. I had my eighth episode of tachycardia and was starting to wonder exactly what was going on with my body. I called my OB who said that it was probably the new PICC line causing some irregularities, and if got worse to go to the ER. (My second PICC line went bad on Friday, so I had a third one placed.) Well, things got worse, so I ended up in the ER. It's a good thing I did. I had a QT something-er-other rhythm in my heart. The PICC line was pulled, and then a new rhythm took over, and I had a 2nd degree heart block.

I ended up being admitted to the hospital. I didn't realize just how serious the QT rhythm was until my OB came in, with tears in her eyes, and said that I was close to death if I didn't come in, and she doesn't like killing her patients. Yikes!, doesn't even begin to describe the feelings I had. I was moved to the cardiology unit until my heart got back to normal, and then back to HROB for the rest of my hospital stay. I got home yesterday... with a feeding tube in place, but nothing running. If I can do well eating today, the feeding tube will be removed tomorrow.

The title of this entry involves good and bad... well, that was the bad... here is the good:

We had our 20 week ultrasound while I was in the hospital... and are pleased to announce that....

IT'S A BOY!!!!!!

So, no need for girl names!! We are getting our Gavin!
