Oh the Places You'll Go!

Oh, the places you'll go...

... to get Chick fil A.

So maybe not that far. Only an hour drive. To a craptastic mall. But still, an hour drive, with three toddlers, is an experience in itself. You have your whining... "Mommmmmmmmmy! Maggie is falling asleep!" You're wondering, why is this a big deal? Because this means, that my darling Samantha has no one to pester in the back seat. Can she take a nap? HA! Dream on. Noooooo. Heaven forbid. A big three year old take a nap? NEVER! So then you hear: "Maggie? Are you awake? Are your eyes open? Magggggggie? Gavin? Are you awake up there? Mommy? Can I watch a difffffffffffferent movie?" Yes. Movies. In the van. For an hour drive. They are life savers. I don't promote movies for in around town driving like some parents that I see. But when it comes to interstate travel. Yes. I am one of those parents. Judge me. I don't give a rats patootie.

An hour drive. It seems like a 12 hour drive.

Worth it?

In the words of all Dakotans:

You betcha.

Then we shopped. And played. And fussed. You can't have toddlers without fussing.

And then it was time for:

Red Robin...Yum.

And then another hour drive home.

This time, all three did sleep.

But shhhhh, don't tell Samantha. Like I said before, big girls don't take naps.
